    There’s and endless range of brand names, but maybe you’re more interested in the types of vine the wines are made from. There’s the famous Müller-Thurgau, of course, then there’s the Trollinger, Spätburgunder, Riesling, Lemberger (rare, but very delicious), Kerner, and some lesser known vines.

    I searched a table for you (in German) on the internet where all the types of German wine are listed by area (left column), vine (Rebsorte), and percentage of the amount produced. “weiss” means white, “rot” means red, so you should be able to read it:

    hock…lieberfraumilch…aghr..Riesling…DOH!!!!!!!! can only think of four and riesling is a grape variety i think …aghr is a brand of red wine named after the river in the region close to the Nurburg ring race circuit and may be spelled differently lol…….not much help am i lol………hmmmmmm is Blue nun german?

    There are no real major German wine brands – there are famous grapes such as Riesling. The German wine industry is very fragmented. U choose a wine from a particular winery
